Saturday night saw The Name Is Band…. Bond Tribute Band playing for a wedding at the wonderful Berwick Lodge in Bristol.
What a venue! The grounds are simply stunning and had we had a little more time between set up and performing our first set we would have taken full advantage for photos. On this occasion though we had an early James Bond Themed set whilst guests enjoyed the casino tables.
The room for performance was a tad on the small size for a 10 piece band but we made it work and the band sounded incredible. Most of the band were unplugged and vocals went through the speakers with a little keys, guitar and bass added for good measure.
Marvin Muoneke was our front man for this wonderful wedding and he certainly kept the crowd in the palm of his hand with his infectious laughter, big smiles, big voice and banter in between songs.
We started with OHMSS as a first number after the first dance and, to our surprise, the guests were all dancing throughout the Bond set, disappearing to refill martini glasses and play the roulette tables, but back again for a boogie 5 minutes later.
After the Bond set we had a quick change around of outfits and were straight back on again playing an hours non-stop, high-energy party set and what a set it was! The floor was packed and everyone had a great night singing and dancing along.
If you’re a James Bond fan and are planning an event where you need a James Bond Tribute Band then get in contact for a non-obligation quote.
Here’s what Luke & Andrea had to say about the band:
“We would like to say a massive thank you towards you and your band. You were truly awesome. Really blew everyone’s socks off! Having so many band members playing so many instruments was like the difference between standard definition TV and UltraHD! It really adds another dimension. Guests were very complementary of you and wanted to know who you guys were.”
Well, we’ve had a couple of the guests contact us already for events – the best kind of advertising in our books!
